Chick Corea has returned to forever - a huge presence in the world of jazz and fusion - yet another gaping hole. R.I.P.

JAMES BURKE:  singer for Five Stairsteps

aged:  70

cause:  pneumonia

the article:  Five Stairsteps singer James Burke dies at 70 (msn.com)

Five Stairsteps Wiki:  Five Stairsteps - Wikipedia

to be honest, i had not heard of the band until i recently posted the new Paul Stanley single  "Ooh Child" which was their biggie back in 1970.
they were a five sibling group.
strange that both A.J Croce and Paul Stanley both cover the song at similar times then the original singer dies...

anyway,
only thing i know by them:

MICHAEL GUDINSKI  -  Australian music impresario

aged:  68

cause:  unknown

the article:  Michael Gudinski dies aged 68 (smh.com.au)

his Wiki:  Michael Gudinski - Wikipedia

there are two people responsible for the success of the Australian music industry, Mr Gudinski was one,  Ian Meldrum is the other (ive mentioned him on the forum numerous times in the past)...
as a teenager he started promoting dancehall events, then booking bands, starting up and owning the most successful music label in the country,  Mushroom Records, and being responsible for signing the most iconic artists from here.

"Crazy Eyes" is a tour de force IMHO - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pb0H8FiHfE

and "Ghost Town" - all written by Rusty Young - he's the lead vocalist on the latter two - great guitarist as well ... (video for "Ghost Town" is not in sync but it's nice to see the clips) ...
