I agree with you...Surf's Up is my favorite Beach Boys album !

"Friends", "Love You", 'Surf's Up"; all amongst some of the most endearing popalbums ever made. Best of all is the commonly bashed "Smiley Smile", which is everything Big Star's "Third" wishes it was(and mind you this is coming from someone who worships the ground Alex Chilton walks on)

i luv the Beach boys! my first introduction to them was pet sounds which i got after seeing a tv made movie of the Beach boys (Summer dreams i think it was called) before that movie i just knew the Beach boys as this clean cut surf band but they're way more than that and i gotta say, Brian wilson is still a great musician, he still has an incredible ear for music arrangements, not too long ago i found this vid of him performing 'God rest ye merry gentlemen' and it quickly became my favorite rendition of that song (Song starts at 5:45) [video=youtube;SQjUgXLg8Fw]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQjUgXLg8Fw[/video]
