Dazzling solo debut from LH, released in 1998.

The Fugees had already had major success, due in no small part to Miss Hill's gorgeous vocals, but this solo release was a step up in scope and quality.

There's Hip-Hop, Soul, Jazz, a bit of everything, and some excellent song-writing brings it all together in a concept album of sorts. Kind of autobiographical, the album sets out Lauryn's formative experiences of life and how it's all led to her personal philosophy on life, the universe, & everything.

Mega-successful, but that shouldn't stand in the way of this being accorded the classic status it deserves.

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill has received 4 votes, therefore it has reached Bronze album status !

How do we place it in the Bronze award section ? Editing is possibly required by a Mod but I don't feel comfortable editing another member's post ..in this case, Tiggi's !Confusedmile:

yes, this work should be recognized because this was when Lauryn Hill was at her A game.

One of my favorite albums of all time.
This is a true classic.
I am a huge Lauryn Hill fan.
She has given to the game what no other singer has.
She has probably the best voice ever by an r&b singer.
Every note comes straight from the soul.
If I could work with any person on a record it would be her.
Her voice make my insides tingle hahahahaa.
Screw nominating her just crown her.
