There is a new festival in Manchester: The Monton Music Fest www.montonmusicfest.com

The main stage is set to close with the 3 days of Blues including The Animals, Ian Parker, Blues n Trouble, The Roach Twins Band etc

We are still looking for more performers for some of the mid-week events and would be particularly interested to hear from not onlly Jazz, Funk & Blues players but also Gospel and World Music

You can contact me through the website.

Does Music, in all its forms, proove that god exists?

If "no" then why not?
If "yes" then how and why?

I know, its a wierd question. I Just thought it would be interesting discussion to try and type about.

Ok,

So , Maybe someone can help me out. I am in search for a certain kind of mucis that just BLOWS me away, and, I can never seem to find it.

I recently saw the movie "August Rush". There was a certain clip in that movie where some gospel/Blues singers were performing a song. the song was only Piano and Vocals. they were black singers. I suppose you can call it gospel, but, I guess it would be considered blues. I am not sure, and, thats why i am posting here.

The group was "The Impact Repertory Theatre". They have a my space page. here is a link:

The song is on the right. it is called "Raise it Up". THIS is the kind of music I'm looking for.

This kind of music is AMAZING to me. I am searching for Piano (no band at all..piano only) with black female PPOOWWEERRFFUULL voice (or voices) that is full of soul/blues.

I have tried to search google for such a thing, and, can never find it. I guess it has alot to do with my vague description of what I am looking for.

Does anyone know where I should take my search from here?

Thank you in advance
Gary

Please, everyone take a moment to go to http://TLT.intellect.at/ and try out this new album, which streams (the entire 73+ minutes) there for free. This is a new trip-rock album by my band, The Lysergic Tide. I can hardly wait to hear what you think of it!

Hay.. Was just wondering if anyone here as ventured out and forked out the hefty amount for the "new" Guitar Hero (Guitar Hero III)?

Ive owned a PS2 for a long time, and purchased GH2 when it first came out - £45! Just recently, Ive been thinking of getting either a PS3/XBox360 and was looking at the packages.. Anyway, I think Ive settled on one anyway..

But I noticed that GH3 was £95! And it hasn't gone down from what Ive seen!

£95 for something I may not use to its full is a tad hefty. Is it worth it? Has anyone here got it? Advice?

Probably be a pay-weekly jobby from the catalogue!

:coffee:

I'm new here and thought I'd start a post because I found a band on MySpace that blew my mind and now many of my friends are hooked.

For those who like George Michael, Seal and other great pop artists you may love "LEMON", as much as we do. Check them out at www.myspace.com/lemonmusic

I can't get enough of these guys. They are as good as any pertinent pop group but they bring something new and fresh to great music. It's about time.

Im new here, thought I would see whats crackin........

Let me tell you a great and very soothing artist I love named NÅID (Martin Landquist) . His new CD “Varanasi” is by far his ABSOLUTE BEST work ever! The CD brilliantly mixes classic Indian vocals and chants combined with Nordic electronic beats. It is something that I listen to all the time to relax and let my mind go free. You should watch the AMAZING documentary video of the journey to complete the CD, which was in India – This CD is really a great buy and I thought I would share it with the people who have the same lifestyle as me! It is great!! … if you want to buy it go to <http://www.kosmicamusic.com/>
