Some of my favorites are The Mars Volta, Queens of the Stone Age, Built to Spill, Iron & Wine, Animal Collective, Broken Social Scene, solo John Frusciante, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Modest Mouse, At The Drive-In, Sigur Ros, Sufjan Stevens, TV On The Radio, De Facto, Wolf Parade... Many others, and a fair amount of jazz... Hello.

Singer/songwriter Jenn Cristy launched into the music scene in 2003, wowing listeners from the start with an old-school rock 'n roll style with a decidedly contemporary flair. Her piano-driven melodies are supported by a dynamic voice and vibrant stage presence that gets audiences on their feet -- and leaves them wanting more.

I've found this forum and hope that there are other out there that love music as much as I do. I was given a Robert Cray record in 1985 and it started a journey that continues today. My greatest love in blues is without doubt the early Peter Green and Fleetwood Mac. I've just got hold of 'Dead Bust Blues' a bootleg album of Peter live in New Orleans in 1970. It's blown me away. I also belong to a local blues club which has introduced me to a raft of new talent including Ian Seigal, Wes Weston, The Spikedrivers and so much more. Enough of me for now, tell me about you lot!

Oh, and how do you put a pictures alongside your post?

My name is Charlie, and I'm obviously a new member of the music forums here.

I don't really restrict myself to certain genres, but rather listen to a wide variety of tunes. Some of my favorites are Beirut, Animal Collective, Broken Social Scene, Emily Haines & the Soft Skeleton, Patrick Wolf, David Bowie, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Skinny Puppy, Coil, Devendra Banhart, CocoRosie, as well as many others.

Honestly I'm kind of crap at introductions. So yeah.

I'm Mike I love music and want to find more artists new and old. Right now I'm just looking for anything that's real easy going, chill, calm. Not drab though maybe something like Angelica by Lamb or Relax by Blank and Jones. I'm not too good at deciphering genres. I like all music
