Sum 41 is more of a rock band for me. If anything a pop-rock band. Canadian...thats a positive. Lead singer married Avril Lavigne = automatic fail.
Could be a good transition band for people to start liking "harder" music and lyrics with a bit more rebellion if you were previously caught into a terrible mainstream funk. But the "harder/edgier" music would only come if you were smart in your searching.

The new album really mixes their styles together... just don't expect any metal attemps like bitter end, they dont really do that on underclass. My favorites are pull the curtain, speak of the devil, march of the dogs and with me.

Yeah - I suppose Dave Baksh took the metal edge with him. I think they're a decent pop punk band but don't find them all that interesting.
