I second the motion. It sounds like you are all early in your careers and some lumps and bumps are to be expected. This however is wholesale theft of your current dream and emotionally, you and your guy are miles ahead of them. Gather your next band slowly, making sure you all have the same or nearly the same goals. With talent, fortitude and smarts, you will make it; those others will get washed away in the tide (I was gonna put that more crudely but a second-thought prevailed.). I'd also scout up some older musicians of whatever genre to talk about this and other career stuff. The right ones will be empathic and give you solid advice, I should think. You are not alone and you will prevail. You may find these trouble this early to be a bonus--better now than when you are more established and the wrenching changes come harder.
I'm somewhere between genius and idiot so take this for what it's worth. Best of luck/skill going forward.

It is true, I feel that it's better we found out their true colors before we're deeply engaged in the band. But walking away would also mean discarding our compositions(the ones we made together).
We're always trying to find ways on how to improve the band not only musically but it's so hard to find people who would be willing to give advice or guidance.

I take it that you, your boyfriend, and the drummer formed the band? If the three of you formed the band, or all agree on this situation, you can vote to kick them out. I say that's a fair thing to do considering that they're being disrespectful by not discussing things with you guys. I know you've mentioned that your boyfriend doesn't want to go through the stress of finding another pair of musicians again, however the stress of that is probably nothing compared to the stress that will be coming your way in the near future if you keep those guys in your band.
