Pink Floyd are a monumental testament in the history of music....they've done it all brilliantly !!!...from Piper at the Gates of Dawn to Ummagumma !!!! (love this one still !!) to Atom Heart Mother , The Wall, to the Final Cut!
To me IMHO the most complete group in history !!!!
I will never use "best" to describe any of the arts by the way !!!!
The ultimate connection is between a performer and its' audience!

seriously, what is this board's obsession with Pink Floyd
we could be obsessed with Captain Beefheart or King Crimson or something like that, that would be a lot better

I'm just saying if we're gonna obsess with something, we should at least obsess about something more worthy

Aah yes - but therein lies the crux of the matter. It's only YOUR opinion that something is more worthy. Not neccessarily mine or anyone else's for that matter..........live and let live. Instead of focusing on something you don't like start a thread about something you do. You will reap far more rewards. Each to their own.
