aged: 69 cause: undisclosed article: The Jam drummer Rick Buckler dies aged 69 | Ents & Arts News | Sky News a really sad day for me being that Rick was the drummer for The Jam, the first group i actually discovered on my own without parental influences when i was young. a group i still love and play constantly to this day even though they split at the height of their career in 1982, culminating in several sellout nights at Wembley Stadium. not my favourite Jam track but his drumming was pretty solid on this track RIP Rick Buckler

article: Roberta Flack of ‘Killing Me Softly’ fame dies at 88 | Daily Telegraph i know "killing me softly" is regarded as her signature tune but i just adore her version of this one: she along with Dionne Warwick and Whitney Houston made singing seem like an effortless exercise in pitch, range and control IMO

aged: 75 cause of death: cancer article: New York Dolls singer David Johansen dies aged 75 - ABC News vocalist for New York Dolls, he was also the last original member. personally i never cared for their music but they were an important part of 'punk' and highly influential to other artists in the music industry: as a tribute though:
