Damn – so much bad news. Shocked to find that Tom Petty passed away today - he was 66. It was cardiac arrest. R.I.P.

He was actually in critical condition today. Sadly, Tom's manager and family have confirmed that he has passed so it's official now.

GEORGE YOUNG, aged 70.
who...you may ask?
older brother of Angus and Malcolm, producer of the early AC/DC albums, also co-owner of Albert Records, the label that signed AC/DC...
George was successful in his own right being a founding member and principal writer for 1960s rockers Easybeats...
heres one of my Favourites from George Young as a member of 1970s band Flash And The Pan:

Fats Domino passed away today after a long illness. He was 89. A huge influence on many musicians and a legend of 50's rock n roll. R.I.P. Antoine "Fats" Domino Jr.
From Wiki - "Both John Lennon and Paul McCartney recorded Domino songs. McCartney reportedly wrote the Beatles song "Lady Madonna" in emulation of Domino's style, combining it with a nod to Humphrey Lyttelton's 1956 hit "Bad Penny Blues". Domino returned to the "Hot 100" chart for the last time in 1968, with his recording of "Lady Madonna".

my favourite artist from the pre and early days of rock and roll...
there is a life size bronze statue of Fats outside a small eatery in New Orleans (French Quarter)
where myself and MH had some fried catfish...
I don't have a favourite track by Fats, so here's one of the many I love...
