she almost singlehandedly bought hope to the residents of Blitzed London during WWII with her singing in the streets, her wartime radio show and performing for troops on the front lines.

aged 83 so he had a good innings for sure.
cause of death: Stroke.

I have two of Charlie's albums, one of vinyl but cannot remember the title and the one with "devil went down to Georgia" on cassette.
was almost certain there was another song of his I loved with Saigon in the title or something, song was about the soldiers over there in Vietnam but I cant recall what it is????

anyway, tribute song for Charlie is the obvious one:

Oh dear. Judy Dyble has passed away, aged 71 - lung cancer. May she R.I.P. I've been meaning to listen to her latest release - very recent - Weavings of a Silver Magic with The Band of Perfect Strangers and The Ad Hoc Strings.
