Google Santorum sometime. Oh, and if Montana's Supreme Court ruling gets the ball rolling, the US Supreme's wrongful "Citizens United" ruling may be on its way out, especially if one of the fascists on the bench dies after Obama's re-election later this year. OWS is NOT A FAD, as it will morph into what it needs to be to accomplish the goal of returning some power to the masses.

The problem with the Republican party is that they are two wings that really hate each other. Very Right and Right can not get along at all. They want to choke each other to death. They fight over the most shitty things that have no importance. I am a Democrat but I know there are good Republican candidates but they could not make it because they know they would have no success with the TEA PARTY CROWD. Look at Tim Palwenty. He is a reasonabkle conservative person and he is someone who is hated by the TEA PARTY. I mean Republican Race is bad itself and it only helps Obama so much. I mean Obama is so happy seeing this race turn into a circus. You wonder why. But again with the current Republican party, it is a total mess.

No different in any primary race. Exremists on either side always against the moderates.
Candidates have to try and appeal to both, usually leaning to the extremists, as they are the group that vote more in primaries. After that, whoever wins, moves more to the center to try and pick up disgruntled voters from the other side of the aisle.

To me, not on the general election campaign trail, which is when I said they move to the center. Didn't follow the dems primary as much as I did the GOP. One mans extremist is another mans moderate. To a liberal I would probably be considered a right wing extremist. Not to me. On Obama, I am very satisfied with his public foreign policy decisions. Other policies are very debatable.

I'm quite an enjoying this, as a spectator.
Spent a couple of hours swatting up on the whole American political system last night. It was via Wikipedia, so I might now be worse informed than before ?!

Hey MH! OWS stands for Occupy Wall Street in particular, or the Occupy Movement as a whole, depending on context. I meant the broader usage. You know, all us dirty, enemployed, ignorant hippies questioning the fairness of the current political and social systems which are pretty well mucked up now. Oh wait, I better get my college educated butt back to the project I am working on for my employer. So much for the hippie stereo type I guess.
