CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:heard your song after my previous post, while i admit there are thousands of people who like what i call 'wanksey' guitar work, sadly i am not one of them, and you sound like the 'angry bee' i was just talking about, nevertheless, good luck with your journey, although i dont like it that much, my hat is tipped to anyone who has the balls to write their own material, and many will enjoy what you do...thats the great thing about music, keep going foreward mate, follow your destiny, as long as you believe in what you are doing and are passionate about it, dont let my nor music head's comments put you off 'rocking"!
Thank you for your kind words, and actually 'you sound like the 'angry bee' sounds like a compliment to me!
Speaking of ' many will enjoy what you do' and the rest of it. I never record anything unless I know the title for sure. That said, this piece of music has more to it than just guitar wanking so to speak. As you said, I believe in what I'm doing and I also have some kind of gift of seeing the big picture if you know what I'm talking about...
In case this one is not your cup of tea, I'm sure you as well as Music Head will like the oher track of mine called 'Infinity', it has a potential of a hit assuming feedback from numerous people:

Thanks for your comment once again!
The first thing I would mention is the cover, it has a great feel to it and allows one to play mind games with the title

I don't care much for the piece myself but there is no denying your obvious talent. Like CH I prefer guitar music with spaces in the performance. It makes the notes you do play stand out far more. Would have liked to have heard what it sounds like in context with other instruments. I don't consider myself a particularly good guitarist but you can hear some parts (very few) at

Prefer the 'Infinity' track - far more interesting and shows an unusual approach. Quite like that one. Touch too much high EQ on the track though. Very brittle.

Jerome, thank you for your kind words, very much appreciated! I hope I'll put this piece into full-scale instrumental song someday, right now I'm more into what my band's doing:

Thaks Jerome. I think I will release this track soon. There was an acoustic simulator rather than EQ.

I stand corrected but I do think you could do something with this - it shows original thought in the creative process - something that is sadly lacking these days. Develop it!

Matt,
Mirror Image Land 7....The track is not boring, it's something I'd definitely listen to at high volume (on headphones) ! Catchy riffs and hooks with melody ! I love the distortion, is that some kind of distorted bass in the background ?
What's behind the title ? I can't really pin down the style...maybe power progressive rock ???? Who cares about the 50 million genres out there anyway !!!....bottom line I like it and it moves me !!!!!
Keep up the great work, Matt ! You've got a bright future in music ! Do you have any other completed tracks ??
A fan already !

Hi Steve, thank you for your kind words! There's no distorted bass in the background, only the guitar. However there's a trick with how intermodulation distortion works - never heard it before, thus I thought I'd reveal this trick to the world, ha!
Ok, Infinity EP will be released within a month from now on, the track listing is as follows:
1. Infinity
2. Mirror Image Land #7
3. Guitar Meditation
plus two bonus tracks from 1999 programmed by me on PC:
4. Sunset
5. Rain
I'll let you know when it's out.
Rock on!
