U.S. Presidential Race 2012
As a Finn the US Presidential Race seems something different, because we have more than 2 big parties. If I was American, I would vote for Democrats as I found most of the Republican candidates quite... oh well better not to say

I find most politicians that way, but better than a dictator

I could be right. The Republican party are in big trouble because this election is going downhill.

Actually, the "swing vote" % for each general election year since 1992 has ranged from 21% to about 31%. The rule of thumb is about 25%. I know this shit cold, as I am a voting activist here in Ohio, a perennial "swing state". But remember... looking back at US history, a swing vote is usually best defined as someone convinced to vote against their own best interests, or convinced to be a single issue, low information voter.

I don't like any of the candidates. The election doesn't matter all that much to me. Either way we're gonna end up with a bad president.

Very close for Romney in Ohio ! Pundits say he didn't do as well as expected.
He has the majority of delegates so he still has a substantial lead. I see him winning the biggies of Clifornia and New York although both states would be suitable politically for Ron Paul in my view from the Great White North...lol !

CNN asked Sarah Palin who she supports and like a true politician she said she wouldn't say but the four Republican candidates are better than Obama ?????...lol..really ??? Also she was asked if she would accept a nomination in an "open convention" ? Has this "open convention" happened before ?...bizarre to me.

What's up next as far as voting goes ?

aka brokered convention.........when no candidate receives the number of delegates needed for nomination.
Hasn't happened since '52 for the dems and '48 for the pubs.
Won't happen this time either.
Media loves to keep that speculation going.
Romney will get his 1144

Current count:

Romney - 415
Santorum - 176
Gingrich - 105
Paul - 47

with 1541 remaining
