did Obama ever come across as being "extremist" in his lead up to his Presidency?...because i cant remember it?

Depends on who you ask I guess.
To me, not on the general election campaign trail, which is when I said they move to the center.
Didn't follow the dems primary as much as I did the GOP.
One mans extremist is another mans moderate.
To a liberal I would probably be considered a right wing extremist. Not to me.
On Obama, I am very satisfied with his public foreign policy decisions.
Other policies are very debatable.
