Surely this has to be on any list of classics ?!
The Eagles' "Great Leap Forward" from 1976 was a reflection on success, excess, and an angsty look at the US. Sold by the shedload due to the bands' superior song-writing, and a shift into Rockier terrain than they'd used before.
