Nice to be able to go back to trust and friendship!!!!!!!!!

It's a mixed up sensation this being alive
Oh! it wears a man down into the ground
It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it
Oh it leaves a man weary
It makes a man frown.

Hank Williams ……………………..The Rebel Within
I think it’s great to have some country and western to review:

Track One Getting’ Drunk and Falling Down : So, we are with all the classic ingredients, raw voice clip clop guitar rhythm and a fiddle!
Lyrically we are into the traditional themes…….getting drunk and falling down.( never done that !!!)

Track Two Rebel Within: Great pace and some wild instrumental work ,The Rebel within was all hanging out here
More good stuff, toes tappin’ and feeling that I need to get my big hat out were the feelings this gave me. Refreshing, lively and fun!

Track Three Lookin ‘ For A Mountain :Another strong track, nice violin led material, with outlaw lyrics, the rebel approach that makes good country.

Track Four Gone But Not Forgotten: Slower track, perhaps not hat exciting to my ears.

Track Five Drinkin’ A’int Hard To Do : Traditional themed country, sad song sitting at the bar, with a bottle in his hand! Nice slide guitar work on this one.

Track Six Moonshiner’s Life :Exciting fast moving hillbilly track about making illicit booze! Good guitar/banjo/fiddle playing makes this well worth a listen.

Track Seven Number 5: A slower ballad…………….Addition being the theme………….

Track Eight Karageddon Nice simple ballad, gentle musically but, not in its lyrics.

Track Nine Lost in Oaklahoma: Good traditional C and W

Track Ten Tore Up and Loud :Good finish with a rip roaring track, all the classic ingredients.

A nice change, which I enjoyed!:biggrin:Cool

Yee-haw, let's get it on. I'm home now.

1) Gettin' Drunk & Fallin' Down - 2.5 - Good ol' kick ass country.
2) Rebel Within - 1.5 - Not sure what that screaming vocal was, but it sucked
3) Lookin' For A Mountain - 2.0 - pass me that moonshine jug, Billy Bob
4) Gone But Not Forgotten - 1.5 - sort of bluesy here, but too slow
5) Drinkin' Ain't Hard To Do - 2.5 - now that's what I'm talkin' about
6) Moonshiners Life - 2.0 - we've still got 'em around here
7) #5 - 2.5 - talk about slow, but slow good. a junkies lament
8) Karmageddon - 1.5 - Yikes! where'd that come from? Totally different than anything else here
9) Lost In Oklahoma - 2.5 - back to solid ground
10) Tore Up & Loud - 1.0 - no thanks. a rocker and stop screwing with the vocals
11) Drinkin' Over Momma -

These guys (Hank Jr and Hank III) always want to distance themselves from their daddy/granddaddy. You can't do it guys. It's in your blood. Wear it proudly. This is my favorite kind of country that's being made these days. Outliaw they call it, although the term has been around since Waylon and Willie. More of a bluegrass flavor than any modern country coming out. With an average rating of 2.0 it will be on my list. thanks gryph.

Not sure what the 2 part download is. All of the 11 songs were in Part 1, but the last song would not play. Said it was corrupted. Yea, me too. Waiting to download Part 2 now to see if it's any different. Says I have to wait 25 minutes to even begin the download. Unless I want to sign up for the Premium package of course. That's ok guys. I'm retired. I got nothing but time. Nothing but time.

Part 2 downloaded real fast once I got by the 25 minute wait.
But when I went to open it, it also said file was corrupted.

Just saw gryph only listed 10 tracks, so maybe that's all there was supposed to be. But when I downloaded Part 1, it listed 11 tracks, even though I could only play 10.

I could only get ten tracks too!
