Hey everyone!

As I said in the Introduction thread, I'm going to promote my band: Twilight.
Some months ago we released the songs from our first single (Welcome to Mudridge) in our Myspace and very recently we've also released the artwork, lyrics book and the songs - Numbers and Special Days - to download.
You can download all that stuff (which includes instructions to make a nice CD case) at this site.

We are currently working on our album and we plan to release it very soon. The album will be about a village where several characters live, each one with his/her unique personality and way of life. Each song from the album will tell a brief story about one character's life, his/her problems and his/her relationship with the other inhabitants.
From the single you can listen to the song about Arina, the tavern waitress (Special Days) and the song about Kepa, the madman (Numbers). You can also watch our first live performance playing Close To The Edge, the song from Gawain, the hermit. All the other characters will be revealed on the album!

I hope you enjoy our music!
Feel free to contact us.

Hey everyone.
I've just registered, so I'm very new to this forum.

I mostly like progressive rock and progressive metal but I can listen to anything with quality: Sigur Rós, Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Devin Townsend, Strapping Young Lad... just to name a few.

I also have a band, which I'll soon promote. I think you'll enjoy our music, but I can't really define our style. Maybe you all can help?

See you all soon.

this thing has been bugging me... is their any band out there that has a pretty similar sound to Linkin Park (their old sound, from Hybrid&Meteora), what would be the band with the closest sound, that might be... popular? don't say Korn... their good but they just share genre and some methods of music...

im not quite sure how much i know about music. i dont really know anything about the technical aspects of music, like notes or anything. i guess im more into the art side of music, its use of conveying ideas, emotions, and concepts.

i listen to a great range of music that a enjoy a lot, and my tolerance for music genres is basically everything. i started my music listening with Fuel, Enya, Yellowcard, Metallica, Trapt, Bob Dylan, and lots of motown. favorites are Audioslave, Bob Dylan, Breaking Benjamin, Evanescene, Gorillaz, Linkin Park, Mute Math, A Perfect Circle, System of a Down, Tool, The Verve, Yellowcard.

what im into right now is british pop like radiohead and coldplay, progressive rock is also catching my interest too, yes and dream theatre right. about a month ago i got some porcupine tree, FOADP, didnt really listen to it, and it just hit me how dream-like it was, and it became really cool.

so thats a synopsis of music i guess. im trying to further expand my taste of music, so anyone can see into what i like already and give suggestions?

I'm a musician, just published my first album and I want everyone to hear it!

I tried to access MD yesterday but it kept coming up with error messages. Was it just me, or did others have problems as well?

Reading another post written here, I didn't know that the 'The Clash' were punk.

I love the 'Londons Calling' song. What a classic.

I have been given an old Ministry of Sound annual from 1994 by Pete Tong. Some good mixes of the old classics.

What are peoples feelings toward Pete Tong generally?
