the dark sides of my mind as i look into the sky

thoughts of her are bitter as she begins to cry

she doesent know I'm angry Screaming bout her lies

but today will be the end and i hope nobody dies

Screaming at the top of my LUNGS
I feel the blood coursing thru my veins.

holding onto my life while my feet are
shakeled to these chains

Here is where Life takes its toll

tearing and Eating my Eternal Soul

should i help or just sit by

as i watch you ******* die

Im just gonna watch.

Thats just some of what i just wrote down in the last 10 min.
It's one of my first attempts at writting a song and i decided to incorporate a couple different singing styles for more of an idea on how i heard the song in my head

starts out with just vocal rap. once it gets to the 5th line its starts some screamo. 9th line is still screamo but screamo rap. and the last line is done in like a death metal vocal growl.

It's short but i liked the way it sounded in my head so im gonna keep working on it.

New to the forum hoping its pretty active. I have no particular music tastes i keep my casulties cd next to my alan jackson which is next to my Mozart.

Normally listening to music i enjoy mostly Ska, Reggae, Rock, punk, and bluegrass.

Top 10 artists

I'm a singer and I'm a writer. But i can't seem to incorporate those 2 skills into one and write a song.
hopefully it's just lack of insperation thats held me back from writing a song for the last 3 years I've tried.... But who knows.... If i write something good I'll be sure to post it for some helpful criticism.

I was riding in the car with my mom on the way home when Fall Out Boy's rendition of Micheal Jackson's 'Beat It' played on the radio. She exclaimed "Another revival? Does the musicians now have any originality?" in Filipino. Me, being a young punk/rock/metal loving teenager, actually preferred it a bit over the original. But I still love the original. My point is: Are revivals good or bad?

I mean, the adults are enjoying the music from their time but most are disliking the music now and vise versa for the teenagers. But from what I see, the bands and artists now are just trying to give old song a twist so that people now could enjoy music then. But, why are the people who grew up listening to the original versions complaining? I understand that the original version is the best version (most of the time), but isn't it good that young people now are enjoying their music? I want your opinions over this subject. Some people say that originals shouldn't be revived but most people I know hate the originals while revived capture more people. I really am confused.

Well here is a song that I wrote last year called "Return to the past"

Request for rhymetic vocal chords
To function
Response by carrying out
To chorus
Questioned about a more than friend intention
Labbeled with a term so precious

Every night I remember
What happened back then
and how it seemed so good
If I could return to the past
So I could make it last
Then you know that I would

One in question walking away
At mid pace
Three days later eye to eye
With same face
Agreeing it would go on

Every night I remember
what happened back then
and how it seemed so good
If I could return to the past
So i could make this last
Then you know that I would

Still wanting a reason
For the choice that was made
Maybe with a different season
This will start to fade
A little short of oxygen
But you tell me it will pass

For there is someone else
Holding so much more
So I wipe away my tears
And walk though the door

Every night I remember
What happened back then
And how it seemed so good
If i could return to the past
So I could make it last
Then you know that i would

Return to the past
return to the past
If only I could
Then you know that I would
But I cant so goodbye
You never said why
And at the time I just wanted to die
But now i just want to live
I just want to live

Which are your favourite vocalists irrespective of genre ??

A few suggestions from me:

- Bob Dylan. Not a conventionally good voice, but a uniquely swaggering and expressive one all the same.

- Lauryn Hill. I'm not a great fan of this type of music, but think that LH's voice is to die for.

- Frank Sinatra. An awesomely expressive instrument.

- Patsy Cline. PC singing Crazy is one of the finest moments in music IMHO.

- Mary Margaret O'Hara. Made one album (Miss America) some years ago, the disappeared. Another highly unconventional voice, but completely mesmerising.

Over to you, members...

If you had to lose one sense or the other, which would it be ??

Most people would rather be deaf then blind, but I struggle with the notion of a world without music. In practical terms, life would be much easier to live without hearing, but it's a dilemma.

Which would you choose, & why ??

there was this disc my friend let me barrow 4 years ago but i forgot the name of the album it was wondering if you would help me. I the album itself basically started out as an insporational quotes and sayings with background kinda techno music, but then by midway thorugh the tempo increased and it just stated facts like "4 people die every by testing a 9V battery on there tounge" The whole album just petting much went on like this- I eventually lost the disc and been searching for years for it.... And i know i can't ask my friend, he's dead

hi i new hear but i just had a questions about album

What would yours be?

Anyone like the chart song thats out called american boy? wasnt too into it, and dont like that kind of stuff, but im pretty into the song now, i especially like some of the humor kanye brings in nearer the end of the song for example the UK pun.
