Great Voices.
#1
Which are your favourite vocalists irrespective of genre ??

A few suggestions from me:

- Bob Dylan. Not a conventionally good voice, but a uniquely swaggering and expressive one all the same.

- Lauryn Hill. I'm not a great fan of this type of music, but think that LH's voice is to die for.

- Frank Sinatra. An awesomely expressive instrument.

- Patsy Cline. PC singing Crazy is one of the finest moments in music IMHO.

- Mary Margaret O'Hara. Made one album (Miss America) some years ago, the disappeared. Another highly unconventional voice, but completely mesmerising.

Over to you, members...

Serj Tankian - so many different vocal stylings is why i like serj he also sings with such feeling that it blows me away now and then.

Yael Naim - Genuinely beautiful voice no matter which way i look at it.

Voltaire - He has a great male baritone voice sometimes operatic and at other times fast and catchy

Righty... reporting back:

Serj doesn't do it for me. I'm not a great fan of SOAD, so I guess that's my loss. It wouldn't do if we all liked the same stuff !!

Yael Naim sounds interesting. I'd never heard of her before, and have quite a liking for Middle-Eastern sounding music. I shall be looking to get a copy of her album.

Voltaire is another I've not encountered before. His voice doesn't strike me as anything special, but his style of music is original & amusing.

Top stuff for providing the recommendations !! Drop some more for music in general, I like checking out stuff that others recommend.

Antony is definitely an amazing vocalist. I don't hear many people drop his name, which is surprising.
