this is the standard thread i have started every xmas since joining MD...
the idea is for members to post the gifts they recieved over the Xmas period, i
guess most of us would only be interested in music related posts but feel free to
let us know non-musical gifts also.....

A plastic candy cane with candy kisses inside, two Nestle's Crunch bars, a pack of gum, a ball of hair scrunchies, and three little bottles of Bath & Body scents were in my stocking. There was also a word search book in there. I loved doing those when I was a kid.
Under the tree was a really good book named Country Faith: 56 Reflections From Today's Leading Country Music Stars. Also under there was two bottles of Bath & Body scents, the 2nd season of Blue Bloods, the 1st season of the TV show that comedian Bill Engvall did a few years ago on TBS, country singer Darryl Worley's Christmas album was also under there for me as well as fellow country singer Alan Jackson 2nd Precious Memories album and new bluegrass album. I also got a film on DVD named Kix Brooks Presents A Country Christmas. I was given a scarf later on in the day by two of my cousins.

i ended up with:
two sets of darts with extra 'flights' as my other set of darts broke mid-year.
DVD of P!NK's "live in melbourne" concerts a couple of months ago.
a Ramones t-shirt.
a book on 'history of cricket'.
a back massager to soothe my lower back after a hard day's work.
$280 worth of gift cards for cds.
tickets to see The Hollies in february 2014.
...and a few other things that have slipped my memory right now....

their show here a few months ago were rated extremely high by the critics/reviewers so as long as they can keep up the momentum and fitness they should put on a good show for you SteveO...enjoy mate!

Not too much, but a few things I'm excited for:
Tickets to see Arcade fire in March
A nice ukulele
a few vinyls
and enough money to pay off my choir trip to New Orleans in the spring.
