Dani's mum and son are coming round for lunch on Xmas Day....

turkey, chicken, pork (all roasted), plus ham and salads(well, hey, its too bloody hot for traditional roast dinner)...
the usual trifle, pudding, pavlova, fruit mince pies etc for dessert then a well earned afternoon nap!....

I don't drink alcohol as a rule but I always buy a six-pack of Budweiser and a six-pack of Guinness for Christmas...
i'll have a bud tonight after dinner, maybe one tomorrow also,
then on Xmas Day its the Guinness(my favourite stout!)...(Bud is my favourite beer)

anyway,
why are you asking Jerome, you wanna come round for lunch? (youre more then welcome to, and I mean it)

Boxing Day....nothing, maybe start reading a book, assuming someone gets me one for Christmas...

on sunday 27th....
off to my parents for lunch...
which being English they will have the traditional lunch...turkey and roast veggies.
theyre also throwing some Swordfish steaks and Salmon steaks on the barbeque or something diferent.
then its the traditional Xmas desserts of pudding, fruit minced pies, fruit salad, trifle and probably pavlova...

then its spend the next sis months trying to lose the weight I gain from two days of over eating!

No relatives here and not planning anything at all. TBQH I find Xmas a bit of a bore these days. I was just wondering what everyone gets up to. Swordfish steaks!!!! Lovely stuff.

yeh, I hear ya J-Man....

im not a an of Christmas neither...
the hustle and bustle of buying gifts,
the stress of the whole shopping experience...
the over inflated price of food once December comes round,
the expense of buying food for one meal to please people and being nice to people
you don't see throughout the year except on birthdays, Easter etc...

I don't like it at all,

well, actually,
I like the Christmas lights and decorations on the tree,
I like the colours of wrapping paper,
but that's about it....

Dani calls me 'humbug' for good reason....

and at the end of the day what really changes at Christmas and New Years.....nothing!
the world is still the same,
a million dollars doesn't magically appear in my bank account,
the world is still at war,
innocent children still die in war, from abuse and starvation....

these Bob Geldof/Midge Ure lyrics say it all IMO:

It's Christmas time, and there's no need to be afraid
At Christmas time, we let in light and banish shade
And in our world of plenty, we can spread a smile of joy

Throw your arms around the world
At Christmas time.

But say a prayer and pray for the other ones
At Christmas time, it's hard but while you're having fun
There's a world outside your window, and it's a world of dread and fear
Where a kiss of love can kill you, and there's death in every tear
And the Christmas bells that ring there are the clanging chimes of doom

Well tonight thank God its them instead of you.

Bring peace and joy this Christmas to West Africa
A song of hope they'll have is being alive
Why is comfort deadly fear
Why is to touch to be scared
How can they know it's Christmas time at all?

Here's to you
Raise a glass to everyone
Here's to them
Underneath that burning sun

Do they know it's Christmas time at all?

Mom and Cousins here on Christmas Eve.
Turkey, ham, dressing, mashed potatoes,
gravy, green beans, sweet potatoe souffle,
collards, rolls, carrot cake, coconut cake, ice cream,
and tea while listening to Christmas music.
Going out to see the lights on the houses at dark.

Swordfish Steaks....had them the first time in Malta as a child and loved them ever since.

Salmon (fresh salmon), my favourite fish in the world.
