My friends in New York tell me the cool thing is to listen to oldtime songs like Frank sinatra and tony bennet and stuff from the 60s. I listened to a Frank Sinatra song and I thought it was awesome! They say they have parties and play this stuff and some clubs have it to.

All those performers from the 40s-60s are good because the music was cool and hip but GOOD. Actually, a lot of people are having these parties because they are classy and set them apart from the tats and droopy pants crowd.

Also, I think "Madmen" on TV has also brought that music to a new generation.

Try some Astrud Gilberto's Brazilian jazz bossa nova!...really cool stuff from the sixties!
