Yama by Art Blakeys jazz messengers , Is there more than one arrangement of this because the version i have heard on Art Blakey manifesto is much different to a version thst i heard many years ago which started with a bass riff and a ride symbol note followed by piano and a much tighter and faster horn arrangement . it was on one of my dads jazz albums i cant track the tune down m wondering if it would be perhaps another ensemble at birdland maybe mccoy tyner with billy root and hank mobley perhaps any suggestions anyone ?
