... am I just not looking in the right places? Would it be under jazz, or some other genre? You know, a good discussion about OAR, or The Dead, or Phish, or even live Straits would be cool, wouldn't it? Then we can all talk about whether Trey or Jerry was/is a better player, preferably without the rose colored tint of "Deadhead eyes".
(Have you ever tried to question the technical quality of a Garcia riff with a Deadhead? Don't! That's all I am saying.)

Don't care for jam bands myself.
Just more into lyrics.
Tiggi should be a deadhead by now

I'm near to finishing playing through my latest Dead acquisition, the 5-disc So Many Roads set.
Plus, quite by chance I listened to one of Phish's studio albums yesterday.
Write-ups to follow.
BTW Grateful Dead would go in the Rock section, and Phish in the Alternative section IMV.

Ahh, "So Many Roads". A good set for some of the band's best jams over the years, and not for the faint of heart. I am awaiting the release of "Europe '72 Disc 2" on September 20. Already have it pre-ordered. Oh, and I would lobby hard or ar least a seperate sub-genre for Jam bands that could include all acts of that ilk, regardless of their main forte'. Just sayin'!

Are you going for the whole Europe '72 set volume by volume ??
You may lobby hard, but it's unlikely to happen. The potential for expanding the boards to encompass all genres & subgenres is enormous, so it'll be staying as is, unless the membership come to a consensus that it needs revision :biggrin:.

Never say never! (For a Jam Band Section)
But as or the whole '72 set, I already have "Steppin' Out", "Rockin' The Rhine", "Hundred Years Hall", and the original '72 album.. so hell yes I will get the $400 box set!
