this may be a bit controversial to some people but i suggest "Madonna"......
sure she is not the greatest female vocalist around, but she can sing, she also writes her own material, produces/co-produces her music, she can dance,i know acting is not singing,but she does appear in movies and she is a shrewd business woman....so as an allround 'artist' she tops the list for me.

Yeah Madonna for the same reasons and Im still sure that Lady gaga is just a gimmick of what the Madonne Has done before...She's Legend!

I'd probably pick someone along the lines of Aretha Franklin or Whitney Houston, as not many people have such vocal power and talent
