Loss Of A Friend
#1
Not very happy material, but necessary for that closure thing, even though I'll be tearing up before I finish this post.

I lost a good friend yesterday by the name of Midnight.
My daughters dog chased one too many cars. I lectured repeatedly with no success. Met his fate at the tender age of 2. Daughter lives down the road and Midnight hung out here during the day when there was no one at his house. Best friend of my dog Chloe and they always roamed the fields together chasing rabbits. Very hard on the grandkids, ages 2 and 7. Funeral and burial in their yard, complete with a marker.

R.I.P. Midnight. We loved you like our own.

i really feel for your grandkids Ed,it is devastating losing a loved pet, they do truly become a part of the family unit. as sad as it is now for the young ones, they will grow stronger from the experience, and im sure they are aware that Midnight is still within them and also in a happy place where he can run and chase rabbits all day without being hit by a car.
I will pray for God to give your little ones strength tonight.

Sorry to hear that, Ed.

I'd echo what Lloyd has said. I know how it can hit hard losing a much-loved pet...
