For those unfamiliar: If you like the White Stripes earlier material, or are looking for a modern alternative to early 70s blues rock, you might like them.
For fans: I'd be interested to hear your comments, and about any other newer (2000+) bands that you're into.

speaking of white stripes... i don't like most of their stuff but despite that.. i guess jack white got tired of his sisters crappy drumming and started a new band called caged elephant. their hit single that started them isn't too bad.

The vocalist and singer from the Black Keys, Dan Auerbach, did recently release a solo album that is really fantastic. A band really similair to the Black Keys is Radio Moscow from Iowa. They have two albums out, one of them released this year.

Hey man I just remembered another band like the Black Keys. They're called Dead Meadow. I have their CD called Old Growth. It either came out last year or in 2007, I can't quite remember. A lot of people I know who like the Black Keys also like The Black Angels, too. They're a little more towards the psychedelic genre than blues-rock, but they're really really good. One of my favorite bands, actually.
