I saw a brilliant bio-pic about Biggie Smalls a few years ago called "notorious" which documented his life right from his childhood through to his murder...
Well worth watching IMO.

Michael Hossack, died this day in 2012, at 65 years of age, from cancer. He signed up as one of the Doobie Brothers' dual drummers/percussionists around 1971. He left them after recording their second, third and fourth albums and was later asked to participate in their 1987 tour - a series of benefit concerts for Vietnam vets, which he did. The tour was so successful that the band re-formed after its own five year hiatus, and Michael stayed on with them until he had to quit in 2010 due to his illness.
