Sir Cliff Richard: child abuse investigation
#11
And then of course there is the despicable industry of sex tourism. A colleague of mine went to Cuba a few years ago and he said he was appalled at the sight of middle-aged men (tourists) with young girls (15/16) at the breakfast table in the hotel.

Let's make a strong distinction here--sex with children is wrong (and I only use that word for moral computations); sex with a non-consensual partner (not just molestation but any type of force) is wrong; sex between 2 fully consenting adults whatever the circumstances is none of my business and I suspect not much of anybody else's either. Nobody hates the child/forced sex trade more than those who travel for sex precisely because these distinctions are not made. We (yes, I said we) do not wish to get wrongfully or ignorantly tarred with that brush. If this puts me beyond the Pale with you--so be it.

Don't have a clue what you are trying to say. Moral computations?

Too many people use "right" and "wrong" to mean correct /incorrect, valid/invalid or some such. Lazy thinkers/writers. They should be reserved and preserved for use in the morality dimension, not the factual. Feel free to star me in a "Convoluted Brain but He Presents a Great Face" operetta. Great fun.
