Looking for some new artists to listen to
#1
Hello! I've been looking for some new music to listen to. I have my favorites but have played those albums like crazy and as much as I love them still, I'd like to add some new music to the mix. I'm hoping I can find some good referrals here.

I listen to just about anything. To give you an idea, some of my favs are Counting Crows, Ray LaMontagne, Keane, Mat Kearney, Fleetwood Mac, Local Natives, Death Cab, Paramore, Dixie Chicks, Bruno Mars, Alison Krauss and Union Station, anything Motown or from that error, anyone bringing that sound back (ex: Amy Winehouse), Corinne Bailey Rae, and Noah and the Whale.

Can anyone recommend any artist or group with this type sound that they enjoy that I could check out?

Thanks!!!

Hi Ed,

How's it hangin' ?

I may pop in now and again. I've periodically checked in to see what's happening, but was taken this time with the similarity of prescription. Spose it's the Amy Winehouse/Motown connection.

Don't want to hijack Retrogirl's thread Confusedorry:...

There are a couple of guys from Amsterdam who made this awesome platform to discover new music (in the style of Ray LaMontagne, Noah & The Whale, Local Natives), they film acoustic videos of new talented musicians: especially check out their video of Geppetto & The Whales, it is awesome!
