FROM A CANADIAN TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

Your neighbour to the north thanks you for all you have done as the nation that stands for freedom for all peoples! Canada is very fortunate to have the great USA as our friend to the south!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Sweet of you to say SteveO!! We are blessed to have neighbors like you!! Israel, I hope the USA will always stand by you too!! Our future depends on it.

I am relieved that here in the UK our parliament voted against our forces from taking action but unfortunately it doesn't solve the problem from the point of view of the people in the middle east. I just wish the arms trade would stop but that will never happen.

Read Jeev's post again and absorb this: there is no good place for the US in any of this. Forestalling Russia (actually making a deal with Putin to mutually keep out outside radical Muslim forces outside would be good) so all the internals play out unobstructed might be the best course of action. Bluntly put: they're all wrong so ring-fence them in and deal with whomever comes out on top.

I don't believe there will ever be peace in the Middle East or in Africa for that matter. Those politicians are wired a very different way. It's the law of the jungle and that's the way it's going to stay.

Of course it won't. Nice OtherWorldly idea but US/GB/French etc. arms makers make gazillions off of this guy being urged to bash that guy for some reason or another...and then being provided the means.
