Been watching the news most of the day and of course Syria has been front and center. Wonder what y'all think about the situation. Should we get involved or not??....I say definetly not. Once Assad hits Israel it will turn into a all out war and IMHO our allies are few and far between. I see nothing good coming out of attacking Syria.

won't get a yea vote out of congress, then he's on his own
not worried about Israel taking care of itself
they've proven they can do that
wouldn't accomplish anything by showing our muscle
internal struggle for now, let them sort it out I say

Yeah, this is a tough situation. I think we should keep out of it. There's really no good side to take here, you pretty much have everyone playing dirty (not saying sometimes you shouldn't, but..yeah). We don't have the funds to do this anything. Plus, it could send us right back into a Cold War with Russia...dunno about you, but I don't want to have to deal with that...again. I saw a video on Syria the other day where the kids were running the hospital, nothing good there......

Even had lunch with George Wallace once and been involved in several radical groups. I may not know much but I do know what is going on in the world. If Obama thinks he can shoot a few missiles into Syria and they are just going to sit back, he is crazy!! I agree Israel can take care of themselves. That is God's country. Netanyahu said the first missile that is launched against Israel, they will retailiate. You go Bibi if that's the case!! I'm just afraid it may turn into a world war.

Well I live in Israel, Syria is relatively close to here and therefore I am obviously very interested about the civil war in Syria.
Personally I think that the civil war over there isnt going to end anytime soon, the rebels might eventually try and conquer more and more cities, but apparently the syrian army are much bigger and stronger than them. They still control the large and main cities like Damascus for example. They still have much bigger army as well. I guess that if Bashar al assad gets killed or assasinated at some point......yes. Thats the only solution in my opinion. This is because he is the guy who controls nearly everything. He is basically a dictator who pretends to be a President but he actually does not even deserve to be referred as that. Im disappointed that he is still in power there, hopefully the rebels assasinate him somehow at some point, or perhaps someone from the governments decides to do it instead. Whoever it is that would do it, it would be great.
Actually.....
Im very curious what would happen in the civil war in Syria if Bashar al Assad was dead? Perhaps the Syrian regime would surrender and therre would be a revolution or something like that.

I agree, it would be interesting to see what would happen if he did die. It is also worrisome though because you look at places like Libya and see they still haven't worked things out and it has been quite some time since Gaddafi was taken out. It is a tough time, period.
