Which decade has better music?

I voted for the 70's. The amount of soul that was put into the music from that time is incredible. If you listen to interviews from the artists from that time and the fans and their dedication, it's just incredible. People from our decade now don't care at all as much as the older generations.

I will have to go 70's however most of the bands I was influenced by in that decade were all severely influenced by the Beatles..along with Jimi Hendrix and Led Zep.. and others.. so it actually goes back some for me. I liked Nirvana in the 90's however when Dave Mathews accidental bus waste dump from a bridge in NY landed on boat tourist you knew the great music decades were over

I really enjoy the 60's music scene especially the Folk Rock music. The bands like the Byrds, Crosby, Stills, & Nash have some of the best harmonies out there.

I think the '70. It seems to me that now there are so many bands trying to imitate that period music, or at least almost everybody think the '70 were the 'classic' era of rock.

Well every decade has seen evolution in music industry, that is why it is very difficult to nominate a particular decade in history good for music. But i personally feel 80's have brought a revolutionary change in music industry with introduction of music of all genre.

It's a sad truth that the present is actually way behind the other decades. It just proves which way the industry is going. i.e. downhill

This depends entirely on preference. Every decade has amazing music and terrible tunes, which is why I can't stick to one single era.

I will say that with the present decade, it's much more common to find commercial and questionable music than it was before, but brilliant music is still around. It's simply become more underground and indie. Anyone who say's the present day doesn't have any good music, clearly is too lazy to look for it, or is looking in the wrong places.
