I even laughed when I pulled this one out of the box. Must have been in my mothers small collection that I got when
she passed some 25 years ago. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. I would never have purchased this. Not that
it's terrible, just not my thing. There is the Willie Nelson duo on To All The Girls I've Known Before, which is my
favorite here. Also an ok duet with Diana Ross. Then there's the worst, with the Beach Boys backing up on the
classic Hollies song The Air That I Breathe. That one should never be touched. Just learned that was written by
Albert Hammond of It Never Rain's In Southern California fame. He contributes a couple of other track on here as
well. Then there's the terrible cover of Bread's If. The rest are new to me but nothing stands out. Five I like and
five and don't like. This was Julio's breakthrough album in the US, with that Willie Nelson duet making it so. It
made it to #5 on our singles chart and the album peaked at #6. Julio hasn't hit the top 40 since. Wonder if it could
have been Willie.

never been a Julio fan...maybe he should have stayed in the schoolyard!!!
even being a big Willie fan, its just an ok track
Albert Hammond....similar to Neil Sedaka in the fact that he wrote a hell of a lot of hits for other people and its now until you read his name somewhere that you realise how many he did write, and Albert is another of my favourites.
pretty sure you'll find Albert co-wrote To All The Girls I Loved Before also

Another one I must have picked up at a yard sale. That's the only reason I can think of that I would have it. All
covers of course and Jim does give them an original flavor. Not sure what the flavor is but anything Jim did, it was
original. The problem with Jim for me was always watching him. Besides seeing Gomer Pyle's goofiness, it was the
facial stuff. I like enunciation in vocals, but this guy enunciated his face when he was singing. Painful to watch.
This album is one of his gold selling and I don't now if there were singles released. Some nice choices for
inclusion sith some songs that are just so good that they are impossible to screw up with a half decent effort.
Unless some drug crazed hippie punk, or some techno freaks get a hold of them. Even though ins efforts are credible
he could no way match the originals. Nothing I love here and four that fail completely.

Only thing I have by these guys I think. Didn't realize it is a compilation of their first two albums. They didn't
really hit it big until Hold Me Now, which came after this release, which was a US only release. Trying to introduce
the group to us yankees, as those first two albums were not released here. Guess we didn't catch on yet, as the
album only reached #148. Saving it was the title track which became a dance club hit. Only thing I love is a track
called The Rowe which is pretty different than the rest of the album. Two I don't care for making it come out in the
moderate like range. Closing my eyes listening to this I could hear bits of Flock Of Seagulls, Devo and Talking
Heads. I like to play that who do they sound like game. Most enjoyable with a brand new artist of course.

Nothing in cyberspace on this one so I gotta wing it. Best thing about this one is probably the cover.
Looks like their thirteenth album. I did like the early hits but they had faded by this time. Dont know if
there were any charting singles off of this, or even if the album charted. The group was popular enough to
carry them this far. A few covers I knew here, most notablis Bobby Hebbs Sunny which gets a terrible
rendition. Also standing out is a Lennon/McCartney composition, I'll Be Back. Don't recall that one.
Anyone know if that was recorded by the Beatles? One vocal track by Herb, You Are My Life, which sucks.
Always thought he had a terrible voice with no range at all. Looks like half of the album passes for
decent elevator music. When you own your own label you can put out anything you want.
