What instrument would you like to play?

thats a great tune...'duelling banjos'! My ex has this on his ipod..and quite often I'd listen to it when it came on!
Must be painful on the fingers when the tempo picks right up though. Dont quit on the lessons TiS...its easy to play piano..trust me!

I wouldn't mind playing the fiddle either! One of the songs I know on the guitar is The Dueling Banjos but alas I don't have a banjo either. Those things are expensive!

My nephew plays a banjo quite well, was in a band.
He has a real nice one, but no idea what he paid for it.

awesome MH. Im not too familiar with banjos myself..I guess they would be similar to guitars as far as playing them goes? I bought one for my ex - just a basic one..which cost about $250 au
lol...the only thing he can do is twang one string at a time :-s time for him to take lessons I think!

I actually 'played' one when I was in Paris some months ago. I went to see Notre Dame (one amazing building - spent hours looking at all the figures carved in stone - how come no-one produces work like that anymore?) and there was a young guy with a Pan drum sitting on a wall in the open area in front of the cathedral just busking away. For a few bucks he showed me how to get some sounds out of it. Apparently the guy who originally made these no longer produces them. They do create a totally unique sound. Great fun to mess around with and perfect for ambient music as well. I bought a software version for inclusion in my projects but have not used it to date.
