I am sure there are many members here who do not play a musical instrument, but if you had the choice which one would it be? No, the electric triangle does not count..........

For me it would be the saxophone - not going bananas or anything. Something like the one this track - at around the 00:50 mark - just love the sound of this -

i'd like to play more than three or four basic chords for my guitar(the early Buddy Holly,JC,Beatle stuff is fine) but i'd love to play a ripsnorting lead at least once...
some basic piano would be cool also

With me being the Alison Krauss fan that I am, the fiddle is at the top of my list.
God bless you and her always!!!

Basic piano, guitar (main instrument), drums many moons ago when I was a kid - rusty but you never really lose the feel for it - like riding a bicycle, mandolin, bass & various keyboards/synths. Had a stab at the flute many moons ago and actually quite liked it but haven't played in decades. I fiddle around on an EWI as well from time to time. Tried a banjo once but it was a disaster. I still have the thing on a stand in my home studio - it serves as a coat hanger these days. Lately synths intrigue me more than any other instrument. Software synths are very good these days but nothing beats a hands-on hardware synth. I have a couple of them scattered about the place.
