there's probably no-one here interested in Paul Weller except myself and SteveO to some extent but i dont care, im gonna post it anyway!!!
PW is all set to drop a new album in either January or February 2012, and by all accounts from his official website and "Q" magazine will sound like nothing he has done in the last 35yrs since The Jam broke onto the UK charts for the first time.
the albums music will be in similar vein to that of 1970s Krautrock/punk group Nau! and that of Lou Reed's "metal machine music"....Double-Doh! as i dont like Nau! or that abysmal Reed album...and to make it worse he has apparently used a vocorder to alter his vocals in some parts....i also do not like vocorder altered voices, which is why i dislike Kraftwork etc.... and Neil Young's "trans" album.
i am not looking foreward to this Weller album by any means, i just hope it doesnt turn out to be as bad as i imagine it to be.
there's also no leaked tracks yet posted to youtube so i have no idea what to expect, guess its gonna be the worst album of his career or something uniquely brilliant....if the Reed thing influenced him im guessing its the former!
