Venom was the best band during this "movement" and generally one of the very few bands that were actually worth listening to...

I have to agree there. Venom is about the only British band from that period that I'm interested in.

Toad The Wet Sprocket is the only one of those I have heard of and I have a couple
good band don't think they are that old though as in the 69-70ish

If I remember correctly they were late 70's
They did a great cover of Eleanor Rigby but it's not on Youtube !!

Came across Sledgehammer used to have a single or two from them........................I would add Wolfsbane to the list.....................They came from Tamworth and were big in Europe
