Beatle songs
#1
while i was at work today i got to thinking about what Beatle songs i really liked, so at lunchtime i sat down with my coke and smokes and compiled a list of my favourite Beatle tracks...and there were a few surprises in the list.
1.with being a huge Macca fan i was surprised that there were only 4 of his songs that made the top 20, and when i modified it to my 3 favourite tracks he did not rate a mention
2.there were few singles in my list
3.15 of the songs came from the period '67 onwards
4. the list contains 9 Lennon songs,5 Harrison,4 Macca songs and 2 john/paul vocals.

anyway heres the list, the first three are my 3 faves, the rest in no particular order:

norwegian wood
across the universe
something
do you want to know a secret?
you've got to hide your love away
dear prudence
sexy sadie
here comes the sun
lady madonna
i've just seen a face
all you need is love
she came in through the bathroom window
oh darlin'!
a day in the life
two of us
taxman
i am the walrus
strawberry fields forever
cry, baby cry
while my guitar gently weeps

make your own list or comment on mine...i would be interest in Gryphon's comments, being the bonefide Beatle-phile that he is:nod:
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..."  -  Me 2014.

It's a mixed up sensation this being alive
Oh! it wears a man down into the ground
It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it
Oh it leaves a man weary
It makes a man frown.

Rather poncy, a lot of it. They were forced to write for kids and everyone else, once they got too big.
I think they were at their peak with things like "Lend Me Your Comb'.

Music Head,

I think JTRiff is refering to Cookie on the old 77 Sunset Strip TV series.
