Nice to be able to go back to trust and friendship!!!!!!!!!
It's a mixed up sensation this being alive
Oh! it wears a man down into the ground
It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it
Oh it leaves a man weary
It makes a man frown..............................Chris Simpson ( "Mixed Up Sensations" 1975 Martin's Cafe )

Had a listen to your material Tomasz. The quality of the recording is fine. As for the pieces themselves they sound like interludes, or middle sections of some bigger pieces. On their own they don't make musical sense to me, but if they were part of some longer work, then it would be fine. Just an opinion.

At 1st. Thx for You Gryphon for writing this post!
And thx for your comment Jerome. I'm beginer... so it's kind a problem for me to do much longer songs. I will.... i know i will...but later , after some practice. Thx for opinion, all of comments are rly important for me... I'll try harder to do my next "motive" or "sample" longer, to make it more like song.
Thx again !

Greetings Tomasz (I am a fanatic for Tomasz Stanko - ECM jazz trumpeter...your compatriot !),,,sorry I digressed.
I like your three pieces very much ! I would definitely enjoy your finished compositions ! A lot of contemporary classical pianists and even older ones have a propensity for short pieces and I see nothing wrong with that approach,,,if the compositions are indeed completed ! I enjoy the slow intentional note by note method in these pieces. It reminds me somewhat of Erik Satie.
The first track - The Thrill has a hint of Celtic aires and folk music and is very nice !
The other two pieces are interwoven *(although two separate works) into hauntingly beautiful melodic pieces !
I like this type of peaceful introspective music ! You are a very talented artist,,,keep it up, Tomasz !
Perhaps you should approach Manfred Eicher of ECM records...this music fits right in with their contemporary classical catalogue !
My rating...4/5....well done sir !!!!!

Tomasz, don't be discouraged by my comments. You must do what you think is right for your own music. Everyone hears things their own way. At the same time you must also accept that people are not going to hear your music the same way as you do. I would like to see/hear a longer piece with some of the 'movements' you have given us samples of included in the piece. That's how it sounds to me. I am looking for the 'frame' that it sits in. I hope this makes sense.
'Midnight' sounds like you have the beginning right, then it develops into a darker theme which is quite good but I am left waiting for somehting to follow it. It might help to think of your music as a song. It starts, then it develops, then it needs to go to a different place in order to create interest and then finally return to the basic theme. Of course, there is no rule that says you must do this but it might help to try this method and see what comes out of your imagination. You might already have that concept in the pieces you have already done. Maybe try linking two pieces that are in the same key together or modulate with a pivot chord from one piece into another.

I'm not discouraged don't worry

hmm... like I said, I'm begginer right now, and ... it's hard to me to do something longer. I have an concept... idea... but its only one motive... And I dont have equipment like Hans Zimmer

for example his Inception soundtrack "Time"... its so simple... just one motive whole song... but he can develop it with many other istruments.... tempo... use things whitch I cant right now. I exacly know what you mean... And I totaly agree with you. Im still trying to make it longer and I have right now one project whitch I think is good enough to do that. And Im sure, when Ill got more experience, Ill re-make all my songs to longer versions.
Thx for comment Im happy and greatfull for all advices!

Tomasz how are you recording these pieces? What are you using? (Software/instruments). By the way Hans Zimmer has a room full of servers and external drive banks that store all his virtual instruments. I would say judging by the pictures I have seen his IT system must be worth over a million at least. But you don't need all of that in order to create a great piece of music. The most important ingredient is imagination. And that's free.

Yes Im using software only. Hmm maybe another reason is that I havent a lot of free time for that. Studying... work... so its more like a hobby right now, but like I said i will try do something longer... whole song, not just motive. When Ill do that Ill write here and put it on site.
And about Hans Zimmer Its true

his equ. is worth fortune

but his amazing composer... my favorite...
