If you could form a super group using musicians from any period in time who would you choose and what role would they play in the group ?
Here's my attempt
Bass guitar : Paul McCartney
Lead Guitar : Jimi Hendrix
Keyboards : Keith Emerson
Drums : Bill Bruford
Vocals : Roy Orbison
Name: Pocket Watch
I'm not sure how they might sound but, they have the potential to be quite interesting.
Nice to be able to go back to trust and friendship!!!!!!!!!
It's a mixed up sensation this being alive
Oh! it wears a man down into the ground
It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it
Oh it leaves a man weary
It makes a man frown..............................Chris Simpson ( "Mixed Up Sensations" 1975 Martin's Cafe )

Drums: Dave Witte
Bass: Cliff Burton
Guitar: Sir Richard Bishop
Vocals: David Sylvian

Good topic, I had to think hard about this one.
Guitar - Warren Haynes (Gov't Mule, Allman Brothers, etc.)
Keyboards - Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater, Liquid Tension Experiment, etc.)
Drums - Carter Beauford (Dave Matthews Band)
Bass - Steve Harris (Iron Maiden)
Vox - Rob Tweedie (Adair)
-OR-
-Warrel Dane (Nevermore)
Tough choice for vocals. I love Tweedie's voice, but Dane might fit into the sound of the rest of the band better.
Thanks for the brain food!

My fantasy band would have to include me playing tambourine badly, and just farting around on-stage lapping up the adoration...
