A stunning performance. Saw them live in the NEC in Birmingham many moons ago. Fantastic concert. Pure professionalism.

Abel Ganz - The Life of the Honey Bee and Other Moments of Clarity - some lovely stuff on this album ... good sounds IMHO. They all have day jobs and manage to put a new album together every 7 or eight years. I'd wish for more, except their last three (of a total of seven albums since 1984 and a couple of lineup changes) have all been top notch listens so don't rush boys - only around another 4 years to go before the next one! I will wait, patiently ...

"Summerlong"

This one is sung by the drummer who has a bit of Peter Gabriel thing going on ...

Joan Armatrading - What's Inside

Had this on rotation in the car so have got better acquainted with the whole thing. A very worthy offering from Ms Armatrading IMHO. So interesting - one finds the least expected numbers arriving unbidden as earworms. This for e.g. - and then I discovered that in addition to herself here we have the Kronos Quartet, Manu Katché and Tony Levin ...

This is a lovely one too ... pick of the album I'd say ... again - Tony Levin and Manu Katché as well as Benmont Tench ...

ROLLING STONES  "milestones" 1972

borrowed from a friend on vinyl...
a compilation...
released around the same time as their "hot rocks 64-71" compilation but apparently an Aussie only release...
never been a huge fan of Jagger and Company but i genuinely respect their longevity and continued success...
twelve tracks on here including my faovurite ever Stones track.
loving the fact that there are a few lesser known Stones tracks here as opposed to the ones that always get on every compilation...
I LOVE THIS ALBUM

side 1:

1:   satisfaction  ***
2:   shes a rainbow  ***
3:   under my thumb  ***
4:   i just want to make you love me  **

Today, I'm especially loving "A Great Day For Freedom" ...

I have listened to a couple of releases done in 360 reality audio and I still prefer the original mixes. Maybe I am just too familiar with the original mixes???

^I expect you are quite right - I wasn't paying attention. Look - a squirrel!! LOL!
Seriously though - in a similar vein, I find it true that it's usually the first version of something you hear that you end up preferring. It's not an absolute, but most often the case, it seems to me.
