A couple of guys at work have lately been testing positive but with no symptoms to show for it. A mate of mine had to go in for surgery but it was cancelled because of a positive test. He did not even know he had Covid.

yes, it is a strange ol' virus, some people are literally bedridden whilst others, like you said, do not even know they have it.

quadruple vaxxed, wear a mask everywhere i go in public and still catch the bloody thing, go figure!

i havent really had any symptoms as yet, just a runny nose, cough and a bit breathless but those things are what i would normally get as a Pneumonia episode dissipates and leaves my system.

615.7 million cases recorded since Covid began: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/?%20

right,
i finally tested negative to Covid after six days.
only symptom i can attribute to it is that i felt slightly dizzy on occasion, much like vertigo (i have had that a couple of times many years ago),
for those that havent had it vertigo it feels like when youre drunk and the room is spinning.

this feeling only lasted a few seconds at a time and only a couple of times a day.

a co-worker had Covid the same time i did and he is still off work with what the experts call "long covid", a condition whereby the symptoms persist a lot longer than the actual virus itself.

only a further 3.5 million newly recorded cases this past week taking the total to 619.2 million.

im thinking two possibilities:
1: people arent reporting positive cases now
2: we are finally getting on top of it

626.5 million cases now.

that is a slowed increase of only 7.3 million new cases in the last 17 days.

630.3 million recorded/confirmed cases now and it looks like the virus is finally dissipating with a lowly 3.8 million new cases over the last 9 days...

as a footnote, all restrictions are finally off here in Australia except for masks are still required in healthcare centres/hospitals/aged care facilities and medial establishments.
