The mathematical models for the infection rate in India are indicating that they will hit 500,000 new cases a day in a few weeks time. Not good. I reckon you can write off the next 2 or 3 years, whether you get the vaccine or not. This is not going to go away for a long, long time. Also read a few articles about the pandemic in India and most are suggesting that the infection rate is far higher than is being reported.

and my opinion is that China is (or at least was) like this but they kept (or are still keeping it) hush-hush from the outside world.
and now theyre saying the vaccine wont stop us getting Covid but it will reduce possible effects of it should we happen to contract it!

LOL great minds...
the BBC just did a segment on Pakistan and their rising toll.
meanwhile, India just keeps on going from bad to worse with their own health officials saying the official numbers could be triple what the official numbers say.
150.2 million worldwide cases now
a jump of 1.1 million in the last 36hrs...

bloody hell (dont know why it surprises me but....) one million new confirmed cases in the last 27hrs.
India:
6.1 million cases in April and...
46,000 deaths from C-19 over the same period.
those figures are even more staggering when you work out that there have been 161 confirmed new cases in India evert minute in April
and one confirmed Covid death every minute during the same period!

You mentioned Pakistan CH. Bangladesh is going to be next on the list if they don't get massive supplies of O2 soon. India actually has a very good hospital/medical infrastructure despite what people think about the country. Bangladesh is way behind in that department. A disaster waiting to happen. Here they are getting ready to ease restrictions and I can understand why - people need to earn money, pay their mortgages etc. etc. but it isn't going to work until at least 80% of the population are vaccinated and we are a long way off that. One of the slowest vaccination rates in the world.

152 million cases now...
back to Bangladesh:
605,000 cases at the end of March, 759,000 at the end of April...
9,000 deaths by the end of March, 11,400 at the end of April...
thats a huge spike considering the end of March figures encompass a whole year!
