Gene Chandler (The Duke Of Earl) and Jerry Butler of The Impressions are both from Chicago and got together frequently to work on projects. This duo recording was the result of some of that work. Ten And Two (Take This Woman Off The Corner) was the only thing that mad a dent on the charts here. Still a nice set of 70's soul. Wasn't expecting to find any clips, so I was very happy with 3, including my fav.

American Idol fourth place finisher out with her release about the same time as top 2 finishers. They all rank about the same with me. Not great, not terrible. Where's #3, Danny, who was my pick to win it all. Anyway, although I wasn't a big Allison fan, the 17 year old could belt out the tunes. Reminded me of Janis and her best show performance for me was Cry Baby. Nothing that stunning on here, with mostly pop fare of course. Best for me is the title track, but the lead off single is the poppy Friday I'll Be Over You. I still say the girl would excel with some bluesy material.

Don't ask! Following in half brother David's footsteps, this teen idol had a brief success in the recording area. This was the 2nd album in a 5 album career, afterwards sticking with tv fluff. The Hardy Boys were pretty cool though. His first album made it to #3 on the U.S. charts, doing all covers. This one did almost as well at #6 on the strength of Eric Carmens Hey Deanie. A decent song, but not here. It was downhill from there with the albums that followed. He did get away from all covers here co-writing several tracks, some of which were the only ones that passed a failing grade.

Was expecting the worst when I clicked into this. Billed as an internet sensation. Kinda left a bad impression. Florida girl makes her debut. Not that it was great, but sometimes better than you are expecting has to count for something. Sort of early Cyndi Lauperish in a girls just wanna have fun kind of way, with some Lily Allen thrown in, is how I came away. This is still too pop for me, but sometimes pop goes the weasel. Luckily I made my ratings before I read about the Brittany association via production. Jukebox is the first single.

Here we go again. Like I said before, Moon River and Born Free. That's it. And oh yeah, the Osmonds. Up to around album #20, and Andy is still cranking out the covers. A few decent covers of movie themes as usual and then the covers of the days pop standards. But hey, another top 10 gold record, so who am I to say. At least the Scarborough Fair clip has S&G helping out. Toss up for the worst with Windy taking it because it's not Andys' style, but don't mess with Honey.
