Once you start playing rugby, it's hard to go back to other sports. Go Australia!

Tomorrow in the Six Nations is Italy v Ireland and France v Scotland. Ireland and France should win, but you never know. I don't hold out much hope for 'the auld enemy' Scotland, but Italy are dangerous at home.

Right Rugby World Cup 2019. I think NZ will beat Ireland and I think that Japan are going to beat SA. Any predictions?

.....whereas Soccer/Football is a gentleman's game played by hooligans

to answer your question MH
I know what Rugby is but don't care for it
these guys don't wear helmets/padding to protect themselves, its brutal
your Footballers would crap their pants facing some of these players

don't know the difference between League and Union
New Zealand are the best team in the world and have been for some time

Definitely watching when possible and certainly not missing the Japan game! We're doing ok on points but they have the edge on penalties and they are super fit. Eeek!! Fingers crossed ...

Given most posters here are either in the US or Europe, with very few from Australia if any, I’m guessing few of you will know anything about AFL (Australian Rules Football). Related to Gaelic football played in Ireland it was all I knew as a young thing. I wasn’t interested in playing it though,. My love of swimming, running and cycling combined into a long love of competing in triathlons.
My father however played AFL in the major league so I was dragged along to matches which I didn't’ enjoy apart from ogling some of the good looking players. (I was a precocious little fairy).
In my late thirties I worked as a chef catering to one of the AFL teams executive committees witnessing enough gambling, match rigging and medical malpractice (read cheating) to totally turn me off the game. (Since then internet gambling has corrupted sport all the way down to small district competitions.)
A few years ago I became friends with a gay couple who’d played rugby with the Sydney Convicts. http://sydneyconvicts.org
They couldn’t pick up the TV broadcast of the Ruby World Championship in their backwoods location one night and asked could they watch the game at my place. I’d always taken rugby to be a game for muscle-heads with low IQ. My friends that night were able to explain the game to me and lo and behold I learnt it was far more complex than I’d ever imagined. Since then I’ve become an avid rugby fan even travelling to the US for the Bingham cup, an international gay rugby team competition.
So, you can teach an old dog new tricks.
