Sorry CH, The question was intended to be rhetorical. I don't really care much exactly how many, my point was that it would have been extremely rare.

and there were a large number that did debut at #1 on the UK charts, its just that Slade were the first to do it on the separate occasions...
I tell you what, i'll find the book and list every UK #1 in it and where it debuted on the chart and its weekly position rises until it got to #1. would you like the amount of weeks they spent at #1 also???
