DAVID BOWIE "blackstar"
latest effort from Bowie...
this sounds like a disjointed mess to me...
too much of everything but gives us nothing in return...
sounds almost avant garde in places...
I just don't "get it"...
his vocals as always, are typical Bowie but they seem to have been
mixed at the same levels as the music or even slightly back rom the music
instead of being in the forefront of it...
only seven tracks on here, clocks in at just over 42 minutes, which believe me,
is more than enough for me...
I don't like anything ive heard on it after one listen, and unlike his last album
"the next day", nothing I feel I need to go back to investigate/re hear again.
here's one of the tacks that sum up the sound of the album:
"tis a pity she was a whore"
