DAVID BOWIE "blackstar"

latest effort from Bowie...
this sounds like a disjointed mess to me...
too much of everything but gives us nothing in return...
sounds almost avant garde in places...
I just don't "get it"...
his vocals as always, are typical Bowie but they seem to have been
mixed at the same levels as the music or even slightly back rom the music
instead of being in the forefront of it...
only seven tracks on here, clocks in at just over 42 minutes, which believe me,
is more than enough for me...
I don't like anything ive heard on it after one listen, and unlike his last album
"the next day", nothing I feel I need to go back to investigate/re hear again.

here's one of the tacks that sum up the sound of the album:

"tis a pity she was a whore"

enters the Billboard chart this week at #1

from the Spotify world
not coming down as hard on this as you did
but it's not on my list either
quite like Lazarus after a few listens
and one other one I like below
btw, ranks up there with worst album covers for me

Lazarus grew on me once,I saw the video...

The album nay grow on me as The Next Day did after a few listens,

I feel like such a chump after writing that previous post then two days later its all over.

lol
I was thinking that when I read it
see if you had posted that after his death
it would have read entirely different
and yet you would have heard the same music
